Germany, known for the Oktoberfest and for the history of the second world war, also offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe, fairytale castles, historical sites and important places full of life. Situated in the heart of Europe, Germany has the strongest economy on the continent. Here are 10 of the most beautiful places to visit in Germany:


1. Berlin









A federal and state capital of Germany, Berlin is associated with the second world war, but also with the Division of Germany (East and West) by the Berlin wall during the cold war. Since the fall of the wall in 1989, Berlin is a vast city, with major tourist attractions, museums, sports, culture and nightlife.


2.Leipzig









The largest town in the german federal State of Saxony, Leipzig is known for vibrant art and culture of famous composers as well as specially designed Bach, Felix Mendelssohn and Richard Wagner. Today tourists can enjoy the performances of the music of Bach at the Church of St. Thomas in which Bach was once conducted, and today his tomb is located there.


3. Munchen








Munchen, the capital of Bavaria, is the third largest city and the most powerful in economic terms from Germany, city inhabitants with the greatest buying power nationwide.  Munich is located in the premises of companies such as Siemens, Allianz, BMW, MAN, Osram or Linde and the unemployment rate is among the lowest in Germany. 4. Neuschwanstein

5. Heidelberg










With historical treasures such as the Old Bridge, Heidelberg Castle and the Church of The Holy God it is no wonder that Heidelberg is a popular tourist attraction. 8. Lubeck











Being one of the largest baltic seaports of Germany, Lubeck is located in the northernmost state of the country, in Schleswig-Holstein. Founded in the year 1143, Lubeck was for several centuries the capital seat of the Hanseatic League. Although it was the first city in Germany bombed in the second world war, yet they still preserved Lubeck much of its medieval architecture, being a popular tourist destination among tourists.

Located on the Rhine in the german federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Koln e is one of the most popular places to visit in Germany. The city offers a wide range of attractions, an active night life, being famous and for cultural and artistic life. It includes impressive sights, such as the unofficial symbol of the city, Koln Cathedral, a wonderful gothic church.


10.Dresda









Before being severely affected by bombing in World War II, Dresden was considered a gem because of its stunning collection of art and architecture. After many years, the city has regained much of the glory. Being the capital of the federal State Saxony, Dresden offers a lot of historical sights such as the Frauenkirche Cathedral.
